About the role

We're looking for a Mid-level Software Developer Intern to join our Engineering team. About the Role: As a Software Developer Intern , you'll play a key role in driving our technical initiatives forward. You'll work with a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and product managers to build innovative solutions that impact millions of users. What You'll Do: - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features - Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices - Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the team - Help shape our technical roadmap and architecture decisions What We're Looking For: - Currently enrolled in at least 3rd year of a Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science or related field. ​ Able to work 8 months (2 terms) starting May 4, 2026 in Toronto, ON. ​ Able to upload an unofficial transcript with the application. ​ No immigration sponsorship now or in the future for this role (must already have valid work authorization in Canada). ​ Proficient in English, written and spoken. ​ Core technical skills Strong programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Python. ​ Solid understanding of UI/web tech: JavaScript, HTML5, Angular. ​ Practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker. ​ Knowledge of DevOps tools: Jenkins, Spinnaker, GitLab, ELK stack. ​ Knowledge of service mesh and cloud security is a plus. ​ Knowledge of Gen AI tools and LLMs. ​ Ways of working / methodologies Experience in product development and familiarity with development methodologies and processes. ​ Knowledge of Agile methodologies is desirable. ​ Awareness of open‑source community norms; experience in open source or inner source communities is an advantage. ​ Soft skills and teamwork Self‑motivated and focused on addressing stakeholder and customer needs. ​ Strong verbal and written communication skills. ​ High emotional intelligence and professional communication when representing Ericsson. ​ Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team, especially in a multicultural and international environment. ​ Nice to Have: - Experience with agile development methodologies - Open source contributions - Strong communication skills What We Offer: - Competitive salary and equity - Comprehensive health benefits - Flexible work arrangements - Professional development budget - Great team culture and learning opportunities We're building something special, and we'd love for you to be a part of it.
